A White Wedding

This has to be one of the most casual and fun weddings I have ever been a part of. Dave and Elizabeth planned a wedding that was truly them from start to finish. Sitting on the chairlift as the snow came falling down on the way up to the ceremony site, I wondered how this would all play out. As we arrived at the ceremony site, the clouds parted and the sun shone down bright as these two said their I do's in ski and snowboard boots. They wore jackets with their initials and date embroidered on the sleeves as their family and friends skied in to watch and celebrate the start of their life as a married couple.

This small and intimate ceremony had me feeling connected with this couple and their family and friends. Every word spoken had meaning and I don't think there was a single dry eye. A beautiful ceremony then became a ski party as we all skied down together. The snow began to fall and everyone beamed. Dave, Elizabeth and I then took another run to get some photos of them in their element. Taking jumps, playing in the park, holding hands down the mountain, this couple was amazing. The snow started dumping and their smiles just got bigger. Perfect :)

Thank you so much Dave and Elizabeth for letting me be your photographer and becoming my friends. Your friends and family are some of the best I have ever met and I am so grateful to have been a part of your day. Best of luck in your adventures in Alaska and I hope you enjoy these photos and the memories they bring of that incredible day.
