Lauren and Jeremy

Lauren and I grew up in Durango together. It's hard to believe after all those years of playing basketball with our dads as the coaches, she is now happily married. I met Jeremy for the first time at this shoot and can say nothing but great things. They are so perfect together and this photo shoot was a chance to capture a bit of this beautiful couple in Lauren's hometown. Recent snow made for a beautiful scenery and we were lucky the train passed right in the middle of our shoot. I am so happy for these two and so glad they asked me to photograph them while they were in town for the Holidays.

Baby Sidney

Casey and Ben welcomed me into their home to photograph their 1 week old daughter Sidney. She wasn't quite sure what to make of all of it, but was an angel as she spent the afternoon in front of my camera. A beautiful little girl with two loving and very excited parents. The three of them looked as if they had been together for years instead of just one week :)

Ashley and Tommy

Tommy and Ashley are one of the sweetest and strongest couples I've ever met. When Ashley walked out in the beautiful white dress her mom had picked out it, I was blown away. It was a gorgeous dress and Ashley was stunning in it. Standing next to Tommy in his dashing dark suit I was once again humbled that I had the honor of photographing such an amazing couple and celebrating their engagement on this very special day.

Thank you two. For a wonderful fall afternoon and for inspiring all of us with your strength and beauty, both inside and out.

A Beautiful Wedding

One of my favorite aspects of wedding photography is sharing photos with the bride and groom. I love watching them remember that day and all of the details that went by so quickly captured in those photos. Memories and stories come back and they light up all over again. It's like seeing all the love and joy they felt that day relived quietly in their memories :)

Heather and John were married under a beautiful fall sky. Their wedding was intimate and filled with personal details that made it very much their own. A breathtaking scenery combined with the beauty of the bride made it like a fairy tale. Friends and family celebrated their marriage with laughter and smiles that ended with a band on the porch and dancing in the grass. Thank you Heather and John for letting us be a part of your special day.

The Bates Family

I was so excited when Katie asked me to take some pictures of her son Blake and their family. I had photographed their wedding earlier that summer and so excited for the chance to photograph this beautiful family again. It was a gorgeous fall day so we took advantage and went for a walk down the bike path. We were playing in the leaves and on the train tracks when the train came by on its last run of the day. Blake loved it :) We finished off the shoot with a little time on the swings and the slide.

I love this family and hopefully will get to document the next big stage in their life. Spending time with such wonderful people in this beautiful town of Durango makes it impossible not to enjoy every  moment.

Jake, Julie and Olive

This was one of those shoots that photographers dream about. The light was ideal, the fall colors spectacular and the newly engaged couple absolutely fantastic. Jake, Julie, and their adorable dog Olive were perfect. We spent a few hours playing on bikes, climbing rocks and walking around the Aspen trees. Their smiles were contagious and before I knew it the sun was almost down.

I cannot wait to photograph their wedding next year.... :)
