A Monsoon Engagment

We sat in car for an hour debating if we would be able to shoot that evening. Aline, Jeff, and their dog Gibson waited with me as the thunder roared and the lighting hit all around us while the rain drops pounded on the car. Then, in perfect Colorado style, a patch of blue sky appeared. It began to envelop the sky and before we knew it we had the perfect setting for an engagement shoot.

We celebrated the 1-year anniversary of their engagement walking around a field with a chalkboard sign to announce their wedding next summer. It was amazing :) I was so grateful to be a part of it and to know these two amazing people. I absolutely cannot wait to photograph this beautiful wedding next year. What an incredible job I have.

Ashley and Willow

I think my favorite part of this Senior picture session was watching the interaction between Ashley and her horse Willow. They both have so much personality and seeing these two strong personalities go back and forth was a joy to photograph. Having Willow there was key as she is an essential part of Ashley's life. She also loved the camera and kept trying to push Ashley out of the way so she could be front and center for her big debut :)

When Ashley and I first met, she said that she wanted her Senior pictures to be a little different, unique to who she was. I feel like these pictures capture a bit of that personality in them as well as the beauty of this amazing High School Senior.
